Kalashnikov TR3 semi-automatic carbine, which was originally known as “Saiga AK-12”, version for 7.62×39 cartridge

Kalashnikov TR3 semi-automatic carbine uses classic Kalashnikov gas operated action with long stroke piston and two lug rotating bolt. Receiver is made from stamped steel, and features new front and rear trunnions, not compatible with earlier generations of AK. Top cover is detachable and equipped with integrated Picatinny rail. Top cover lock is located at the front, and uses captive cross-pin; rear engagement point of the top cover features special spring that removes all wobble or “play” that may otherwise creep in after prolonged hard use.

Description

This system successfully tested on AK-12, ensures stable zero retention for any sight, mounted on the top cover. Polymer forend is “free-floated” and does not touches barrel. Gas tube is permanently attached to the receiver, and has a removable plug at the front for inspection and cleaning. Barrel is equipped with highly effective muzzle brake – compensator. TR3 rifle ca use all types of AK-compatible magazines in respective calibers. Iron sights consist of a hooded front post, mounted on the gas block, and the adjustable diopter type rear sight with windage adjustment mechanism and range settings between 100 and 800 meters. Standard shoulder stock folds to the left side, and is adjustable for length of pull.
